They perked up when Rangnick sent on Fernandes for Greenwood, even though the decision was met by boos around Old Trafford. He could have hooked just about any of them, to be honest. Fernandes was involved in three United chances in the space of a few minutes. He came close to breaking the deadlock when Sancho's throw-in to the byeline gave Nemanja Matic the chance to pull the ball back for United's No 18 to clatter the bar with a first-time shot from 20 yards.
